This premier KM event in Europe returns to Holland for its 4th anniversary. Past Events28-31 July 2003. KM Asia. Exhibition and conference under the banner 'Asia Knowledge Week'. Ark Group. 14-15 July 2003. KMAC 2003 - The Knowledge Management Aston Conference, Aston, Birmingham. With roots in operational research, this conference explores the past, present and future of KM in "the middle ground where theory, practice and support from computer software meet." The Gurteen Knowledge Conference, London. With the theme "using knowledge productively", this conference with a difference focuses on the practical aspects of KM and has plenty of time for networking. OKLC 2003: The Fourth European Conference on Organizational Knowledge, Learning, and Capabilities, Barcelona. A systems perspective of knowledge management focusing on learning and organizational memory. Academic bias. IESE Business School, University of Navarra. 2-4 April 2003. KM Challenge 2003, Melbourne. Exploring practical frameworks focusing on knowledge. The second such conference organized by Standards Australia. 1-2 April 2003. Knowledge Management 2003, London. Bizmedia's Annual Event - as much an exhibition than conference. Generally good, but we're waiting for details, see: 21 March 2003. Open Seminar at ENTOVATION's Spring Meeting, Helsinki. Pharmaceutical Knowledge Management, London. R&D projects, people and communities, tools and techniques for KM in the pharmaceutical industry. Some interesting presentations, panel sessions and interactive discussions on topics such as measuring knowledge flows and the economics of communities. GKEC. 16-18 Oct. 3rd World Knowledge Forum. Seoul, Korea. Described as a "jubilee of human knowledge". Bill Gates is a keynote speaker..... 14-16 Oct. Creating Value through Intellectual Capital. 4th International Knowledge Management Forum, Caracas Venezuela. With an oil and energy industry focus. Debra Amidon is delivering the opening keynote. PDVSA CIED. 7-10 Oct. KM and the Bottom Line, London. This is a 2-day event (8-9th Oct), one of a set of four events running on consecutive days. Knowledge Innovation® - the True Competitive Intelligence. A virtual seminar delivered by Debra Amidon. Aimed at information specialists it will show how to expand your role to a knowledge leader contributing toward the communities of practice and world trade of ideas. Special Libraries Association. 23-25 Sept. Online Learning 2002, Anaheim, California. A large gathering of decision-makers charged with developing and
implementing e-learning. Online Learning Magazine's 5th annual event 3-6 Sept. World Conference on Science and Technology Parks, Quebec, Canada. With keynote speake Al Gore and world-class speakers from over 15 countries. Our verdict: "this is definitely one of the finest conferences in the 'innovation' community" 2-6 Sept. KMSS 2002. 2nd KM Summer School, Sophia Antipolis, France. A multi-disciplinary research focus promoting latest developments on topics at the forefront of KM, and providing the methodological framework for KM research. Nottingham University and EKMF 16-18 July. KM Asia 2002, Singapore. Based on the successful format of KM Europe 2001, this event of demos, interactive panel discussions and round tables with keynote speakers is expected to attract 3000 visitors. Ark Group. 24-27 June. Global KM eXchange, New York. A high profile conference and exhibition with additional workshops. 10 per cent discount for ENTOVATION Colleagues / I3 UPDATE readers. 6-7 June. Intellectual Capital: From Potential to Value Creation, Portoroz, Slovenia. Includes keynotes by Debra Amidon and ENTOVATION 100 member Ante Pulic. Strategic Planning for Knowledge Management, Toronto. Good range of cases (mostly Canadian) and keynotes, plus four workshops. 27 May - 14 June. Cook's tour of the Information Society. "The radio with pictures show". A combination of a local radio (Harborough FM in England) chat show and a global virtual meeting. Each day (0500 to 0600 GMT) there are interviews and online chats with 'guides' representing local, UK and international interests covering themes ranging from ICT for sustainability to ICT for knowledge discovery and sharing.
